Our Story

In 2022, co-founder Katherine Cruze’s mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Watching her father become a full-time caregiver, forced to navigate the daily challenges, emotional toll, and uncertainty of caregiving, was a powerful and eye-opening experience for Katherine. After sharing her experience with 4 friends, the group became set on creating an affordable solution for dementia caregivers. This was the spark for MemorEase, a tool designed to offer practical support, reliable information, and a sense of connection for caregivers. However, Katherine’s family aren’t the only ones facing these issues. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 66% of dementia caregivers report having difficulty in finding resources. Additionally, Guardian Life reports that 77% of caregivers report poor mental health and well-being. Common symptoms of caregiver burnout include social withdrawal, anxiety, and depression.
